The TMS – Sines Multipurpose Terminal began operating in 1992 under a public service concession, currently awarded to Portsines - Operações Portuárias, S.A., and it is endowed for the handling of dry bulks, general cargo and ro-ro.
The quay has a total length of 645 meters at the extrados and 296 meters at the intrados. With draughts down to 18 meters ZH, it allows the reception of ships up to 190,000 tons Dwt.
Next to the terminal, there are several areas available with capacity for the installation of warehouses or silos that allow optimizing the logistical operations associated with cargo handling in the port.
The terminal is connected to ZILS - Sines Industrial and Logistics Area by conveyor belt and by train that leads to the national rail network.
