The Port of Sines took part in Breakbulk Europe 2025, in Rotterdam, between May 13-15, integrating the APP - Ports of Portugal stand.
With two decades of history, Breakbulk Europe is the most important venue dedicated to breakbulk, bulk, general and project cargo, annually bringing together thousands of professionals from the maritime and port sectors. The exhibition aims at fostering the dialogue among key industry leaders, promoting the exchange of knowledge, while introducing innovative and strategic projects to the international community.
Breakbulk Europe gathers a wide range of stakeholders from the port sector, including logistics operators, shipping companies, freight forwarders, and port authorities, attracting over 4,000 visitors looking for logistics solutions for their businesses.
The Port of Sines’ participation also included active involvement from Portsines, the company awarded the concession of the Sines Multipurpose Terminal, endowed for the handling of this type of cargo, thus reinforcing the port’s strategic positioning in this market segment.
This participation is framed within the “Invest in Alentejo” project, coordinated by ADRAL- Alentejo Regional Development Agency, which is intended to promote the economic potential of the region. The participation and engagement of the Port of Sines in this venue reinforces its role as a leading logistics platform in the European context and contributes to the strengthening of the cooperation with international partners, enhancing new businesses and investment opportunities for Alentejo and Portugal.
