The Brazilian Delegation from the Goiás Branch of the Brazil-Portugal Centre-West Chamber of Commerce visited the Port of Sines on May 2, accompanied by a delegation of entrepreneurs and political representatives from the that Brazilian state.

Received by the Port of Sines’ CEO, Pedro do Ó Ramos, the main plan of the visit was to showcase the potential of the Port of Sines as a strategic gateway for the entry of Brazilian products, particularly from the state of Goiás, into the Iberian market.

During the visit, the opportunities offered by Sines for bulk cargo, agro-food, and ore were highlighted, as well as the containerised cargo regular services connecting the Port of Sines to the Brazilian market.

The state of Goiás is a major grain-producing centre, being expected to grow approximately 14.2% in grain production for the 2024/2025 period, further reinforcing its positioning in this sector. The visit of the Brazilian Delegation to the Port of Sines was another important step for the strengthening of the commercial relations between Brazil and Portugal, thus positioning Sines as a strategic hub in the transatlantic corridor.
