The Port of Sines' Container Terminal received the call of MSC Michel Cappellini, one of MSC giants with a capacity for 24,346 TEUs (1 TEU = 20 feet container which is equivalent to 6.1 meters).

Sines continues to break records and maintains its regular presence on the route of megacarriers that exceed 24,000 TEUs, having received last April the MSC Tessa with a capacity of 24,116 TEUs that handled around 4,000 containers in port, now surpassed by the MSC Michel Cappellini with the handling of around 4,376 containers.

The reception of the largest and most modern ships on the market attests to the physical and operational characteristics of the Port of Sines, which continues to be a privileged gateway to the European continent.
