The Port of Sines participates in the Japan Energy Summit 2022, held in Tokyo, between 2 and August 4. This mission is framed by the Invest in Alentejo initiative, coordinated by ADRAL, and also has the participation of aicep Global Parques, manager of the Sines Industrial and Logistics Zone (ZILS).

The main objective of the mission is to promote the Port Complex, Logistics and Industrial Sines as a European hub for production and marketing of hydrogen and green ammonia, and attract infrastructure investment in the sectors of natural gas and renewable gases, as well as industrial projects decarbonized and / or electrified.

The Japan Energy Summit is a world reference meeting on energy, focused on the themes of natural gas and renewable gases (NH3 - Ammonia and H2 - Hydrogen), areas where the Sines Port, Logistics and Industrial Complex embodies the Portuguese national priority of energy transition, perfectly aligned with the implementation of the green transition provided for in the Port of Sines strategic plan.

In parallel with this summit, b2b meetings are also planned with several companies, with emphasis on Kawasaki Heavy Industries, responsible for the Liquefied Hydrogen Terminal at the Port of Kobe in Japan, and Tokyo Gas, the world's largest Natural Gas and Liquefied Natural Gas infrastructure company.
