Port of Sines receives delegates from Angolan ports

The Port of Sines and the Algarve Authority (APS) received delegations from the Port of Lobito and the Port of Luanda, two of the main port infrastructures in Angola.

The visit of the delegation from the Port of Lobito, on September 7, had as main objective to know some of the procedures of the Port of Sines related to Information Systems and their practical application in Port Management. The delegation also had the opportunity to see the JUL - Janela Única Logística in operation and visit the Liquid Bulk Terminal at the Port of Sines.

On September 9, the visit of the delegation from the Port of Luanda had as main objective to know the procedures and methods related to the quality, health, safety, environment management systems, certified by international standards, as well as the management processes of maritime infrastructures and port layout planning.

The Port of Sines has been participating and promoting, within the Association of Portuguese Speaking Ports (APLOP), the exchange of knowledge and experiences with other portuguese speaking ports, which has contributed to a strengthening of ties and greater cooperation.
