The Port of Sines and the Algarve Authority (APS) has signed a cooperation agreement with the Port Authorities of Guinea-Bissau (APGB) which aims to exchange knowledge and professional experience in the field of port activities between the two administrations.

This document, signed in Sines on July 28, is part of the historical and cultural relationship between Portugal and Guinea-Bissau which, in the maritime and port field is materialized in the existing cooperation at the level of APLOP - Association of Ports of Portuguese Language.

The areas of cooperation focus, among others, on information and technical exchange, providing internships, technical consulting, and training with the participation of professionals from both entities.

The strengthening of the image of the Port of Sines within the maritime and port community is an important vector of the APS strategy, so actions like this contribute to the reinforcement of the reputation of the Port of Sines in the international context, particularly in ports in portuguese speaking countries.
