On March 8, the APS - Ports of Sines and Algarve Authority marked the International Women's Day with a commemorative event attended by the workers of the ports of Sines, Faro and Portimão, as well as ex-workers and invited women working with the local authorities and the concessionary companies.

After the opening of the event by the President of the APS, José Luís Cacho, the poem "Esta força de ser mulher tem que se lhe diga" by the poet José-António Chocolate, the company's board, took place. Fernanda Albino, APS Administrator, presented statistical data related to gender equality, as well as what has been done by the organization to densify the issue of equality.

The session was closed by Professor Jorge Sequeira with a lecture on the theme "Winning Teams and Women" and ended with a convivial lunch prepared by the workers themselves. APS is grateful to all those who have attended and participated in this initiative.
