Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance considered that the current practices in the ports of Sines, Faro and Portimão comply with the requirements of the Information Safety standards for the defined scope and demonstrate a remarkable continuous improvement. The risk analysis methodology, policies and safety procedures, and alignment of the safety system with the requirements of the stakeholders involved, were some of the aspects highlighted in the external audit.

The APS’s Information Safety Management System is responsible for the governance of the Port/Logistic Single Window, including its development and support, as well as the supervision of the supported processes in terms of data entry, data integrity and workflows’ monitoring, thus globally ensuring the three major safety vectors: confidentiality, integrity and availability.

The scope of the information safety system was originally certified to the vessels and cargo component, having been regularly expanded, currently comprising train calls and the integration with the dry ports in the hinterland.
