Diplomatic representatives of Angola visited Sines

The Port of Sines and the ZILS – Sines’ Industrial and Logistic Zone received, on March 1, the visit of a delegation of the Embassy of Angola in Portugal, led by Trade Representative Amadeu Leitão Nunes, accompanied by the President the APIEX – Angola’s Agency for the Promotion of Investment, António Henriques da Silva and the President of Angola's Bonded Warehouse, Joffre Van-Dunem Júnior.

At the meeting with the diplomats, João Franco, President of APS, highlighted the potential of the Port of Sines in the promotion of trade relations between Portugal and Angola, while Francisco Mendes Palma, President of aicep Global Parques, highlighted the ability of ZILS to receive investments of any type and scale.

The delegation also had the opportunity to visit the Port of Sines that through the Terminal XXI offers weekly connections with the Port of Luanda, whose container handling has registered a sustained growth. On the other hand, Angola is a major crude supplier to the Sines Refinery, through the Liquid Bulk Terminal.
