Ports of Sines and Amboim establish cooperation

APS – Ports of Sines and the Algarve Authority and EPA – Port Company of Amboim, E.P. signed a Cooperation Protocol, on last May.

Under this document, and taking into account the historical, cultural and friendship bonds between Portugal and Angola, both parties agree to promote the exchange of knowledge and professional experiences in Port activity, in different areas such as, management information systems, commercial promotion or financial, asset and human resources.

The African Market is strategic for the Port of Sines and the Sines Container Terminal – Terminal XXI offers four regular weekly services to that continent, one of which calling Angola. On the other hand, Angola is one of the main suppliers of crude to the Refinery of Sines, received at the Liquid Bulk Terminal of the Port of Sines.
