MSC New York of 16.652 TEU and 399m calls Sines

The MSC New York, with a capacity of 16.652 TEU, called the Port of Sines for the first time on last August 18, coming from the Port of Antwerp and being the next destination the Far East, while the next port of call will be “King Abdullah City” in Saudi Arabia, after crossing the Suez Canal.

 

After MSC Zoe on the week before, Sines’ Container Terminal received another ULCS – Ultra Large Container Ships, with 399m of L.O.A., 54m of beam, 186.755 Tons (DWT) and a maximum draft of 16,02m.

 

A total of 2.258 containers (3.284 TEU) were handled, comprising cargo to the Middle and the Far East, namely Singapore and Shanghai, being the vessel operated in less than 24 hours.

 

The first call of the MSC New York was marked by the delivery of a crest of the Port of Sines to the Vessel’s Captain.
