APS promotes the Port of Sines in “Sail Amsterdam 2015”

APS – Ports of Sines and the Algarve Authority presented the Port of Sines and its logistic areas to entrepreneurs and investors in the shipping and logistics business, in Amsterdam, aboard the training ship Sagres. The Ambassador of Portugal to The Netherlands, Mr. Bouza Serrano, was invited to the venue.

 

The event was held during the staying of this vessel in the Dutch capital, within the scope of its participation in Tall Ships “Sail Amsterdam 2015”, held every 5 years, which in this occasion received 50 Tall Ships of international prestige, along with hundreds of other small vessels.

 

Docked at the Port of Amsterdam, and as a traveling embassy of the country, a meeting with several European companies took place a board the Sagres, where Portuguese services and products were promoted. The Port of Sines was presented as a reference infrastructure both for the shipping business and the establishment of services and logistics companies, having caused a strong interest on the participants.

 

This vessel call in Amsterdam is comprised within the “Sagres’ Travel 2015”, that left Lisbon on May 27, passing by Madeira and Bermuda, stopping at various ports of the United States (Philadelphia, Greenport, New Bedford and Boston) passing the Azores and staying in Amsterdam to participate in this Tall Ships meeting. It will return to Lisbon on September 1.

 

APS is one of the companies supporting the “Sagres’ Travel 2015”, whose mission is to train the cadets in the naval school, along with the promotion of national economy and culture, as well as the approach to the Portuguese communities, namely in the United States.
