The APS' ISMS - Information Security Management System was audited by Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance, which, in addition to follow-up audit also audited the extension of the system to the Algarve ports and the Railroad, in accordance with ISO standard / IEC 27001: 2013.

The APS' ISMS already included information security applied to the ships' calls and cargo at the port of Sines, managed in Single Port Window, but now also started to apply the calls of vessels and gargos at the Ports of Faro and Portimão, with the same requirements in terms of Availability, Confidentiality and Integrity of the treated and protected information.

It also approved the extension of the ISMS information processing in train calls and authorization solution of the Customs Authority in intermodal TXXI. These are relatively new features and developed a Logistics Single Window logic, but whose robustness and innovative use sense strengths were highlighted by Lloyd's.

In this way, APS creates conditions to meet the expectations of stakeholders who use and work in the three ports under management, providing tools and controls to protect business confidentiality and simultaneously streamline procedures in a perspective of SmartPort.
