A delegation of the Port of Ningbo visited the Port of Sines

A delegation from the Port of Ningbo visited Sines on 5 June with the aim of deepening the relationship between the two port infrastructure. The delegation, led by Vice President Wen Jianyao, was received by João Franco, President of the Ports of Sines and Algarve Authority.

During the meeting they were presented the main features of the Port of Sines, highlighting the Terminal XXI's operating conditions that offers already a weekly direct connection to that Chinese port.

The Port of Ningbo is the world's fifth largest port in relation to the handling of containers, and the delegation wished to know the functioning of the port of Sines in order to find investment opportunities and promote trade relations between the two ports.

The visit was followed by aicep Global Portugal, since one of the goals was to analyze the schedule expandability of Sines, not only with regard to the area reserved for containerized cargo, but also the space available for the establishment of Sines new industrial projects.
